Individualism, selfishness and comfort is hindering the Remnant of God’s people

This is an excellent word from brother Mark Case from His blog. It will be a suffering and hardship to the flesh of many to gather together as God’s remnant and people but we must do this in love for Christ and His body. It is easier to go along with the flow of American life, luxury and comforts. Oh saints let us go outside the gate not in words but in actual use of our time as we live to share the Gospel all the time and gather with other believers.

—-

Therefore the Lord said: “Inasmuch as these people draw near with their mouths and honor Me with their lips, but have removed their hearts far from Me, and their fear toward Me is taught by the commandment of men, therefore, behold, I will again do a marvelous work among this people, a marvelous work and a wonder; for the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hidden.” Woe to those who seek deep to hide their counsel far from the LORD, and their works are in the dark; they say, “Who sees us?” and, “Who knows us?” (Isaiah 29:13-15)

After many years of mingling with and observing the scattered remnant among those who profess Christianity, I realize that I have been making a wrong assumption.

I assumed that the remnant would actually draw nigh to God in the same way that they draw nigh to His message – but that is not so. It is true that many of the remnant draw nigh to the message of the Lord at critical moments, but it is not truethat a notable percentage of the remnant are drawing nigh to the Lord. They want to be informed, but not transformed. There is a great difference.

As long as there is the tiniest shred of anything to hang onto for comfort and security, the vast majority of even the remnant are not willing to take definitive steps toward transformation into the fullness of Christ’s image. It is too costly and requires too much living faith – faith they have never had. A small percentage of them will draw near to the edge of transformation, but only a tiny handful of that small percentage will actually choose to take definitive steps toward transformation.

The prospects of real change among the remnant toward spiritual maturity looked promising beginning with the scare of the financial crisis that started back in 2008, but for the most part they came out into daylight just long enough to learn what God was saying about the matter for the benefit of knowing how they might protect their assets. Of course, many who came out were not part of the remnant at all, but the majority claimed to be.  Well, after holding out for a few years until the immediate financial scare seemed to fade away, they went right back into their darkened corners where they felt comfortable and secure before the scare.

After proclaiming God’s message with much spiritual insight and with an undeniable anointing of the Holy Spirit, and seeing little more than lip service in response, we realized that only a spook for disaster was not enough to drive anyone to real transformation. The dollar must fail altogether for that – and even then there will be some who can continue to survive on their own, and will. Oh, how the spirit of individualism and independence does still reign.

Finally, after it has become clear that the umbilical cord of Americanism is about to be cut from Christians too (which news, by the way, has really brought an unprecedented number of believers out of the woodwork), still we do not see anything more than lip service. (We are sure that some, like us, are doing all they know to do, and that some steps into greater transformation are just not yet readily visible.)

Notwithstanding, I am convinced today just as I was a dozen years ago that “Christianity – American style” will reign even among the remnant as long as that remnant has the slightest thread to hang onto. Oh, well. The welcome mat into “Christianity- American style” lives on…and on…and on… even among the vast majority that call themselves the remnant.

“The whole head is sick, and the whole heart faints. From the sole of the foot even to the head, there is no soundness in it…” Isaiah 1:5b

A Dwelling Place For God’s Presence: The Body Of Christ (audio)

This is a powerful message by brother Mark on the need for a true work of God’s Spirit in North America. We have a great need for a true work of God’s Spirit not something men can organize or start by their cleverness. We need meetings where flesh is humbled and God is exalted and His Son magnified as Head of the Church and Creator of the earth.

May the presence of God come in a powerful way as God’s people simply step out to meet together towards Jesus Christ the Son of God.

A Dwelling Place For God’s Presence: The Body Of Christ (audio mp3)

Brother Mark Case shares about the presence of Lord and how it has been and continues to be God’s desire to manifest in His people. He speaks of in the last days there needs to be a work of the Spirit without men controlled or making it happen. God is going to manifest Himself to the body of Christ in a great revival that will be God initiated and God run.

Excerpts from the message:

“The fear of God was in the land. The climate was there for repentance. The people of the world were seeing God alive with His people.”

“Our call for revival. We are calling for an infusion of God Himself.”

Three Sobering Warning for end-times deception and deceivers

Acts 20:28-31

New International Version (NIV)

28 Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Be shepherds of the church of God,[a] which he bought with his own blood.[b] 29 I know that after I leave, savage wolves will come in among you and will not spare the flock. 30 Even from your own number men will arise and distort the truth in order to draw away disciples after them. 31 So be on your guard! Remember that for three years I never stopped warning each of you night and day with tears.

Mark Case:

“With the spread of Truth and liberty have come a million false lights – men who like ‘clouds without water’ speak ‘great swelling words’  without substance; those ‘perilous times’  prophesied by the apostle Paul have long set in.  As people give way to ‘itching ears’  and as their fleshly appetites grow, opportunities multiply to new heights for skilled deception from the enemy.  Today, Satan takes advantage of centuries of experience in creating his cunning devices, even disguising his wolves as ‘angels of light.’ The airwaves are filled with those who ‘call themselves by His name,’ but who do not know Him.  Multitudes follow them many times because they have not been willing to fully surrender to the absolute lordship of Christ.  They continue to secretly embrace some sins, and in doing so they run the unthinkable risk of God sending a strong delusion  so that they should believe a lie.”

Zac Poonen:

“The opposite of Christ is called the ‘antichrist’ in the New Testament. If Christians do not see this clearly, then when the antichrist turns up on the world’s stage, with his false signs and wonders, they too will blindly accept him.”

Stella Paterson:

“Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But where religious flesh is, we can almost always find evil spirits parading as ‘anointed’ vessels. Without keen discernment we will be taken in by one with a false anointing. The devil’s servants know how to act and talk like the Lord’s servants—but they are counterfeit, and we must learn to recognize them by their fruit. They are all around us and will continue to increase in number as the coming of the Lord draws near.”

Many Christians Continue to “Fare Sumptuously” as the end of the age is coming

This article is a strong warning to believers especially in the West to not allow the current strangle hold of materialism and money to continue to cause the Church to be unfruitful. Money has been used for God’s kingdom in the past but His kingdom is never fully dependent on money but the work of the Spirit.

What a powerful indictment of the Holy Spirit in the Book of James to those who are “hoarding wealth” in the last day:

James 5:1-3

New International Version (NIV)

Warning to Rich Oppressors

5 Now listen, you rich people, weep and wail because of the misery that is coming on you. Your wealth has rotted, and moths have eaten your clothes. Your gold and silver are corroded. Their corrosion will testify against you and eat your flesh like fire. You have hoarded wealth in the last days.

Here is an excerpt from a powerful exhortation from brother Mark Case who shares the burden on the Lord on this subject:

Amazingly enough, many who call themselves by His name still forsake His truth about self-love. Even though God sent His only begotten Son to plainly instruct us in brotherly love and kindness, many still hold to their own selfish lusts. Penance offerings are the norm. Whatever is given is done primarily to soothe the conscience for all that is kept. I want to remind them that the story of Ananias and Sapphira was not a fairy tale (Acts 5). Among the millions who call themselves “Christians,” implying that they are followers of Jesus Christ, there are at least hundreds of thousands in America alone who still protect and expand their own personal earthly safety nets and opportunities for pleasure through fat bank accounts. As long as the tithe law is adhered to, most church leaders leave their parishioners’ overflow alone. Since the modern church has so many Old Covenant characteristics, it is easy to fall back on this. These church-goers are well aware of the terms of the New Covenant, yet they continue in Old Covenant principles for personal convenience. The Old Covenant was an earthly type and shadow of the New and was much inferior to it. However, the mark of God’s blessing under the Old Covenant was sometimes determined by accumulated financial wealth (see the promises to Abraham and to Israel). Though much inferior to the realities of a supernatural life through Christ which comes by identifying with Him in a daily crucified self-life, the safety and comfort that worldly wealth offers make it quite convenient for New Covenant believers to identify with the Old.

Conversion is a work of God’s sovereign grace. Even in that, we are commanded to repent if we would be saved. “Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent” (Acts 17:30 NKJV)!

If you find yourself guilty of “building more barns,” my strong warning to you is that you repent and cry out to God that He would have mercy and grace upon you and give you the gift of conversion for eternal life!

Many movements claim God’s way to revival but true revival only comes by repentance

Believers in the underground Church in China and other countries are experiencing wide-spread continual revival only because they are a repenting Church. They daily and hourly are at the foot of the cross, asking for the Spirit’s leading and weeping over their failed attempts in the flesh to do anything for God. They stay humble and connected to the vine (John 15) and seek to be led of the Spirit.

They do not claim to be God’s great movement, they simple are that movement and at many times just are following the Spirit of God’s direct guidance. They look at themselves as not sufficient and only Christ as sufficient in them. The only way we will see a great gathering of God’s body in North America and to see a clean, pure, spotless Church is if men repent of trusting in the arm of the flesh and gather to Christ in great repentance.

This is an article excerpt quotes by brother Mark Case on the need for true revival. He is involved in a work, Fathers Field Ministries and is a precious brother in the faith. Here is the excerpt:

All man’s plans are useless and without hope if they are not in perfect agreement with what God has already shown us for spiritual awakening. All prophecies, visions, and dreams are false if they are not firmly supported by God’s absolute dictates for real revival, which are clearly spelled out in His Word. Please do not be deceived into following men and women in this late day when deception is our greatest threat (Matt. 24). And be careful of scripture that is no more than a codeword for justifying a movement. “Let God be true, and every man a liar.” If anyone, or even an angel (today, many are claiming to be led by angels) says that God will bring revival blessing without broken hearts above all else, he is either badly mistaken, deceived, or he could be a false prophet and a liar.

God is looking for His people to enact His plan. He has clearly told us exactly what we must do. Scripture is replete with the example so clearly set forth by His requirement for revival. For example:

“If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” II Chron. 7:14 NKJV

Finally, God loves His people, and He is going to build a spotless and glorious church, but it will not be done through self-appointed men or women, seeking to build their own kingdoms. It will not come through musicians reenacting twenty four hour worship “as David did.” It will not come through large gatherings of like-minded believers. It will not come through believer’s meetings designed to magnify the spectacular. All these movements will come and go as they always have. Widespread revival only comes through widespread repentance.

Now is the time that we should turn from our sinful ways as His people, asking for and receiving His forgiveness. We should also turn deaf ears to those who draw attention to themselves in His name. (This is an old method of the enemy designed to take our eyes off Jesus.) Now is the time to “buy” from Him, filling our lamps with Holy Spirit oil! Now is the time that we should embrace Him as He really is in holiness and righteousness, right where we are! Now is a time when we should bow in humility asking God to forgive us as a nation and to restore us holy, but more than that, we should prayerfully get ready for Him to “thoroughly purge His floor” (Matt.3:13).

Jesus said, “I came to send fire on the earth, and how I wish it were already kindled!” Luke 12:49

So be it, Lord!

Home Meetings Movement During Persecution (video)

This message was delivered by brother Mark Case at the SermonIndex simulcast event on Coming Persecution.

Brother Mark Case shares on coming persecution and how it will force many in the body of Christ to start to meet in homes like in the book of Acts. He also speaks of when denominations becoming centred around men and led of the flesh instead of the Spirit of God. Such denominations and churches are therefore in opposition to the purposes of God and in some cases God will judge them. God is also calling His people from such churches to meet as His body in the earth.

House Church Meeting Audio Recording

As an example of a house church meeting we thought to share these 2 audio recordings:

This house church meeting took place the day after the SermonIndex Conference on Coming Persecution in Atlanta, GA. Brothers: Mark Case, Steve Gallagher, Brian Long and 25 others met together for a 3 hour meeting where also others were given time to share and exhort the body there. It was a blessed time and gathering of so many precious saints from different parts of North America.
